High School Girls Volleyball

The KSD girls’ volleyball team finished the 2007 season with a 7 - 19 record. We hosted the Great Plains Schools for the Deaf (GPSD) Volleyball tournament here.  The following schools for the deaf participating in the tournament were Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma and Wisconsin. We defeated Missouri and lost to Colorado and Minnesota in the pool.  We lost the first round to Wisconsin in the tournament bracket.  Senior Kalina Johnson was selected to All-Tournament Team.   Of the 7 wins, we defeated 3 hearing schools: Bishop Seabury, Christian Preparatory, and Kickapoo.  We will be rebuilding next year after losing five senior starters: Tiffany Dykes, Taylor Borucki-Putnam, Kalina Johnson, Brandi Green and Adriana Gonzalez.  

Junior Varsity ended the season with a 0 - 9 record.
