SRO (A School Resource Officer) -
A law enforcement officer, employed by both the city police department and local school district, and serves a middle or high school located within the boundaries of the city. They help provide a healthy school environment where teachers feel safe to teach and students feel safe to learn. They are available to any student, parent or community member who has questions or concerns about the safety of their schools and neighborhoods. SRO's work closely with Court Service Officers in monitoring the school behavior of students on probation or diversion.
