11th Annual High School Visual Arts Competition

I am delighted to inform you that four students in my art and graphic design classes were accepted into the 11 th Annual Student High School Visual Arts Competition. There were 437 entries from 240 students from 12 High Schools in the Greater Kansas City area and only 130 were selected for the show. The students who won were:

Juana Bautista - Hand pinch vessel “Spring,”

Johanna Laughrey - Hand coil Tea pot “Dragon,”

Alfred Wigley - Graphic Design “Super Player,”

Matrix Young - Graphic Design “Twins Connection.”

The Show will be held at the Irene B. French Community Center Art Gallery in Merriam City, KS on December 7 through 29 th. The address is 5701 Merriam Drive, Merriam, Kansas 660203. Gallery Hours are Monday-Friday 9:00am - 9:00pm, Saturday 9:00am - 3:00pm, Sunday 2:00pm - 4:00pm. Please come and see our students’ work.
